In October 2023, I spoke to an audience of intelligence professionals, students and enthusiasts about “The Psychology Behind Human Sources in Intelligence Collection.” Human Intelligence (HUMINT) is pivotal for gathering intelligence and involves obtaining information through interpersonal interactions. This briefing covered human source identification, evaluation, recruitment and validation; and provided examples of various human sources.
